The Hangover 3 will be the final comedic romp for the wolf pack, director and producer Todd Phillips confirmed Thursday. Phillips promised the third installment will provide “fitting conclusion” to the popular R-rated series. The Hangover 3 is scheduled to hit theaters on May 24, 2013.
"We're going to surprise a lot of people with the final chapter we have planned. It will be a fitting conclusion to our three-part opera of mayhem, despair and bad decisions," Phillips said.
No details on the plot were released, but it has been confirmed that Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis are all on board for the final installment. Filming is expected to being in September.
“We are extremely pleased to have Todd Phillips and the guys back together again for another Hangover and we look forward to collaborating with them on another great movie,” said Warner Bros president Jeff Robinov.
The first two Hangover films earned over $1 billion worldwide.
